Rebellious Teens

They Don t Understand Me !

The period of adolescence has been quite the dubious period in anyone`s life when it comes to taking crucial decisions involved in different situations; it has proven to be a staggering issue that worries parents and keeps them in a constant state of alertness towards their children`s intellectual decision making measures.

Generally teens have quite the contradicting opinion when it comes to decision making, where many think that they might be better in making their own decisions. It is true that parents` experiences and wisdom have a positive effect in the decision making of their children.

There is always a debate on the effectiveness or superiority of any of the two points of view on what is the cause of stress and miscommunication in the family medium. Relatively, psychologists do not really have a biased view towards both opinions and never really make a favorable argument that might really serve both sides. Still, a very effective technique that is introduced by many psychologists and social researchers is the rhythmic communication between parents and their children, meaning that parents should have the tolerance to give their children chances in contributing to a mutual understanding of the communication medium between both sides.

Actually when a teenager feels they have a role in the decision making of their own lives` situations, I somehow agree that it would raise the teen`s confidence and help create a sense of awareness towards any issues in life, whether it is a positive or a negative issue, the person should be able to make the favorable choice with respect to the circumstances.

For any teen, when having the right knowledge of the aftermath of any decision taken by them towards any given situation in life, the person develops a sense of approval of some kind knowing that they have made a certain choice after careful thought. In such cases, I think that this helps in the intellectual development and the character of a teen and gives him/her the right confidence in pursuing their goals successfully, whatever their goals might be.
